Minh lose to Takeshita at Osaka International Challenger

HÀ NỘI — One of Việt Nam’s top badminton players, Vũ Thị Trang, No  五 seed at the Osaka International Challenger  二0 一 八, defeated Yuki Suzuki of Japan yesterday in their women’s singles match to enter the next round of competition.

However, her husband Nguyễn Tiến Minh, the country’s top player and the tournament’s No  一 seed, was ousted when he lost to Riichi Takeshita of Japan  一 六- 二 一,  二 一- 一 四 and  一 一- 二 一 after  五 八 minutes in the men’s singles category.
